I agree. Apple's behaviour is nothing short of irresponsible and totally devoid of any respect and concern for the FCPro users who have invested on this company for their business and with it support their families and the families of their employees. Maybe it is wiser to move to Avid. What Avid has in common with Apple? They are in name, Apple are in deeds.
Concerned and frustratedly yours

I so whole-heartedly agree with this! I don't know how many times I've called a company with a product that wasn't working properly and they found a way to blame it on user error. As a fairly advanced user, that is an immediate turn-off for me. But imagine all the basic users that just give up. It's so important to go beyond making things work, to making them intuitive, simple, and clean.

Excellent points! Business operations and software development are becoming more and more intertwined. Businesses need software to the point that many simply cannot compete without it. Likewise, software needs business. Face it, we don't write software just for the fun of it. It needs to pay the bills!

The pace of business has accelerated in the last decade and the pace of software development must accelerate also -- small steps, fast pace, frequent checkpoints. Sounds like an agile approach to me.
